Learning Target: To understand the major psychological perspectives and what they can tell us about ourselves and others.
Learning Target: I can explain how Psychology is the study of behavior AND mental processes.
Seating Chart activity: Introduce yourself and share your birthday/zodiac sign. Who at your table shares a close birthday or zodiac sign? Then using your MB profile explain to your table a strength and a weakness according to you MB profile. We will then share out introductions and strengths and weaknesses.
Circle: One thing you understand better about yourself or people based on the MB profile.Definition of Psychology: The study of behavior and the mind (mental processes).
Activity: Using the example of the 5 year old and the 1 year old be prepared to present out how a psychologist would explain the decision most people make. Remember you are explaining both the behavior and the mental process.

Textbook: SQ3R I do not have enough textbooks right now so we will be using some new ones and old ones. Remember context? Please write down everything you remember from our activity two classes when I read you a series of statements and then asked you to write down everything you remember.
Activity: look up SQ3R again and be ready to report out how it works. Diagram Module 2, pages 18-23 and begin to SQ3R it. Finish for homework.
Understanding your MB Profile: Using your phone read your profile. What does it tell you about yourself? What does it tell you about the others in the class? How does it feel that someone can know you that well without ever having met you? Write your profile on an index card and place it in front of you. Look around at the people at your table and read about them according to their profile. Does it make sense? Does the profile fit the person. You will be doing a brief presentation about a person at your table. Do these profile's of the 16 types give you any insight to the people in the room. Do you notice any trends?

Textbook: The reading of the text is essential. If you want to do good in this class and the AP exam you must read it.
